Professional Legal Representation in Cincinnati, Ohio

Practice Overview

I have over 20 years of experience representing individuals, businesses and local government units throughout Cincinnati and southwest Ohio. Because I understand the importance of accuracy and clarity in business dealings, I emphasize attention to detail in all aspects of my practice. I personally respond to all your concerns and handle all your legal needs. Contact my offices to arrange a free initial consultation.

Land Use and Zoning

I work extensively with individuals, businesses, developers and local government units in all matters related to land use and zoning, from applications for rezoning and variances to administrative zoning appeals. I also work proactively with governmental bodies to develop creative, comprehensive land use strategies in an effort to minimize the risks associated with litigation.

I have been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Cincinnati for over 20 years, I currently teach Planning Law and Administration to graduate and undergraduate Planning students in the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP). Along that same line, I frequently present seminars on proper zoning practices for planning and zoning commissions, as well as boards of zoning appeals.

My practice also includes work with individuals and municipalities to resolve disputes when governments exercise their powers of eminent domain to take private property for public purposes.

To learn more, see my land use and zoning page.

Local Government and Municipal Law

I represent many different types of governmental bodies, including cities, townships, counties and school districts, in land use, zoning and eminent domain matters. I also handle litigation involving allegations of abuse of power, as well as attempts to recall elected officials. I also frequently present seminars on proper zoning practices for planning and zoning commissions, as well as boards of zoning appeals. I have an outstanding track record in defending administrative zoning decisions in 2506 administrative appeals. See my local government and municipal law page for additional information.

Business and Contract Law

I advise businesses on a broad range of legal matters, including the negotiation, review and preparation of commercial contracts, from nondisclosure agreements and property agreements to sales agreements. For more information, visit my business and contract law page.

Fraternity Law

I represent and advise individuals, fraternities, sororities and educational institutions on many different issues, including incidents involving allegations of hazing and alcohol liability. I also counsel clients on membership, housing and free speech issues. See my fraternity law and hazing page to learn more.
